Description:
Responsibilities: Provide software development and maintenance support for projects working with the Business Unit and the Operations Support department
- Requirements gathering, elicitation by interacting with business
- Responsible for implementing IT/Business projects
- Supports all phases of Development leading to implementation
- Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project and multiple projects.
- Create or contribute to technical project documentation
- Excellent communication skills
Experience Requirements
5+ years software development experience:
Big Data related:
- Experience in Hadoop, Hive HQL, Spark, SCALA
- Experience in oozie scheduling.
- Experience in Ingestion process to Hdfs
- Experience in handling different types of Hadoop file formats.
- Experience in AWS
- Proficiency in Python
Java Technologies (Core Java is must others with minimum hands on):
- Proficiency in Java 4 or later, scripting, J2EE, Webservices
- Experience in Tomcat, WebLogic
- Strong knowledge and experience in SQL
- Extensive use of a Java script toolkit (Dojo a plus)
- Experience with a web framework (Spring, Spring MVC a plus , Java Application server’s (WebLogic/WebSphere/Tomcat framework), Struts
- API knowledge experience
- Experience with UNIX (AIX preferred)
- Experience with Shell scripting
